the house and its history
Standing on the original site of Doune Village, Glenardoch House sits in its own private and mature Victorian gardens alongside the Ardoch Burn, with its feature stone humpback bridge dating from 1733.
The house itself, originally Doune Cottage, was considerably enlarged in the mid 19th Century by Alexander Ferguson, a local confectioner who had made his fortune after inventing Edinburgh Rock.
Retaining its original features, Glenardoch House is now a large, comfortable and stylish family home.
